There once was a very poor farmer, who had but one horse. One day his horse runs away. His neighbor comes over and says, “I’m so sorry about your horse. What bad luck.” And the farmer says, “Who knows, good luck? Bad luck?".

The horse comes back the next day and he brings with him 12 feral horses. The neighbor comes back over to celebrate, “Congratulations! What good luck!” The farmer replies again, “Who knows, good luck? Bad luck? ”.

The next day the farmer’s son is taming one of the wild horses and he’s thrown and breaks his leg. The neighbor comes back over, “I’m so sorry about your son. What bad luck.” The farmer replies, “Who knows, good luck? Bad luck? ”.

War had broken out and the next day the army comes to the village and is taking able-bodied young men to go and fight in a war, but the farmer’s son is spared because of his broken leg. The farmer’s neighbor says, “Thank goodness he was spared! What good luck!” The farmer replies, “Who knows, good luck? Bad luck?”.

Something to think about!
