There once was a very poor farmer, who had but one horse. One day his horse runs away. His neighbor comes over and says, “I’m so sorry about your horse. What bad luck.” And the farmer says, “Who knows, good luck? Bad luck?".
During coaching sessions, clients often share that they feel stuck or sad about something that occurred, and as a result they don’t feel like working, writing, talking it out with a loved one, etc. When this occurs, I always ask, what is the exact moment that you noticed the change in feeling? What occurred? Where were you? Did someone say something? Did you see something?
